When I think about ambition I think career and in this area I wouldn’t class myself as an ambitious person. I enjoy my job but I’ve never wanted to climb that career ladder. For me, well for both of us, it’s been about working to live and not living to work. I’m not about changing the world, making a name for myself or status, I’m just me doing my own little bit. I like going out, holidays, family time, designer goods and top of the range vehicles have never been on our agenda. Hard earned cash buys us time and I would rather have quality time over ‘quality goods’ every day of the week. That’s just how I’m wired. I’m not saying that it’s the right way, it’s just my way. Each to their own. We all have different agendas, different hurdles, different personalities which I feel is a good thing.
I suppose my ambition is to make the most of the time we have together, to provide a safe, comfortable home and to have fun, new experiences. I believe we mostly do this even though life has thrown us several curved balls along the way. We are good at making plans but have grown to be masters of adapting or even cancelling them at the last minute, dusting ourselves down and trying again.
So here’s me having fun, just dicking around.
I’ve had to change my plans with this post as I missed linking it to the Wicked Wednesday ‘Ambition’ prompt (it’s an age thing this time lol).
